New Seneca drug sweep

A new drug sweep in Seneca targets 34 suspects. By 10:45 this morning, one dozen suspects were in custody. Chief of Police John Covington vowed, “We will continue actively seeking the remainder throughout the day, night and days to come until we have them all.” The results are what the police term undercover operations by the narcotics division and the seizure of cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamines. The Oconee Sheriff’s Office and the Westminster police are assisting Seneca in operation called “Zero Tolerance” enforcement against anyone who chooses to sell illegal drugs in Seneca.
