Newry man charged with impersonating a police officer
A 32-year old Newry man has been charged with impersonating a police officer in Seneca. The Seneca police say they found a man asleep in a car parked at a restaurant at 5 o’clock Thursday morning last week. The police found the man in need of medical attention and arranged for him to be sent to the hospital. The police say they impounded a red Camaro and confiscated three handguns, a quantity of ammunition, along with a badge, a pair of handcuffs, and an “ASP” baton. Warrants signed by police officer Carl Glenn and issued by Seneca Municipal Judge Danny Singleton charge Joshua Leland Herring with impersonating a police officer and unlawful carrying of a concealed weapon.
