Newry manufacturer to start hiring

A company founded in Pickens will begin hiring later this year for its new operation in OconeeCounty.  An announcement by the state Department of Commerce says US Building Innovations will make its future home at 391 Newry Road near Seneca in what is to be a new, 17,000 square foot building to house research and development, warehouse and distribution space, along with manufacturing operations.  The company specializes in advanced coatings.  Thirty-one new jobs are being promised, with hiring to start in the last three months of this year.  USBI serves marine, auto, aviation, electronics, architectural and residential applications.
