Oconee Auditor Ken Nix took the oath of office this afternoon for his  second full, four-year term. The oath was administered by Clerk of Court Beverly Whitfield at Whitfield’s Oconee County Courthouse office. Nix won election last fall, taking 64% of the vote in his election battle with Republican challenger Betsy Redmond. But his new term doesn’t actually begin until July 1 this year.
