No equivocating about the roads

The worsening condition of South Carolina roads has begun to create a reputation that causes embarrassment to the state. Worse is the predicament faced by its motorists who have begun to treat the state’s roads and highways like obstacle courses when it comes to missing a pothole. Seneca’s Bill Sandifer and other state lawmakers are getting the message. On Friday Rep. Sandifer predicted that, in the next legislative session that starts next month, the lawmakers are going to act. Sandifer predicts the first step will be reforming the South Carolina Department of Transportation, to be followed by the financing needed to begin to repair the roads and bridges.
