Northside students take part in science fair

This year’s top 10 science fair winners at Seneca’s Northside Elementary School participated in this month’s regional science fair held at Southern Wesleyan University. They were joined by other students from Oconee, Pickens and Anderson counties who are equally interested in science. One of Northside’s top 10, Gunnison Alexander, was recognized as an overall engineering award winner for her project which tested the strength of popular wood glues. Gunnison built standard wood joints of the same type of wood using different kinds of glue. She then tested to see how much mass each could support.
