August 1, 2013

A magistrate holds to his decision ordering seized gaming machines destroyed. Judge Blake Norton’s ruling denying a new trial arrived yesterday in the offices of Attorney Gruber Sires. The Seneca attorney now says he will decide whether to pursue the appeal in the Common Pleas Court. Sires represents machine owners. The machines were seized this year from Oconee convenience stores, and that set off a court battle between the owners and the state as to whether those machines are legal.
