Norton upholds earlier ruling

An Oconee magistrate has reaffirmed his earlier ruling. Those gaming machines seized recently by the state police from Oconee convenience stores are to be destroyed. Magistrate Blake Norton’s ruling was received in the mail today by Gruber Sires, attorney for the convenience store owners. Those businessmen were trying to recover the machines, but Norton’s ruling sides with the Attorney’s General Office that the machines, under state law, are illegal.
