OC and mainstay employer renew their vows

August 21, 2013

Since the days it opened as Imperial Manufacturing, a plant between Seneca and Clemson has enjoyed a long relationship with Oconee County. And the county administrator says that arrangement is stronger with an agreement by the county fathers last night to makes changes to a fee agreement with Imperial’s modern day successor, Greenfield Industries. Through the years, the company has produced tool drill bits. “We’re extremely excited about the future of Greenfield Industries here in Oconee County. Their Seneca operations have done so well that they have decided to close up other facilities and move operations to the Seneca facilities,” Administrator Scott Moulder told 96.3/WGOG NEWS this morning. According to Moulder, Greenfield’s operations on 123 and Davis Creek Road are to become that company’s global headquarters for operations.
