OC identifies Illinois project

November 15, 2013

Oconee County has a possibility for a Midwest company to locate an operation. And, to help advance that possibility, the county’s director of economic development, Richard Blackwell, will meet with company officials next week in Illinois. Blackwell said he’ll be in Illinois, as part of a trip sponsored by the Upstate South Carolina Alliance—of which Oconee is a member. “We are calling on a project that Russell (Johnson, Oconee EDC project manager) met with two weeks ago now that has very strong interests in Oconee County,” Blackwell said.
