Oconee couple establishes endowed scholarship

Professional engineer Richard Cottingham and his wife, Nancy, have pledged $500 thousand to establish a professor of civil engineering endowment at Clemson University. The Seneca couple is described as passionate about the university and about professional licensure in the engineering profession. Both have served on state boards of registration, and Richard Cottingham has served as president of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. Their pledge enables Clemson to attract and retain a professor with national prominence.
