Oconee County resident Steven Moore spent his formative years as a Democrat, then became a Republican. But today the former Oconee County school trustee and county councilman says party labels are misleading when it comes to government spending. Moore has issues with the all-Republican Oconee County Council when it comes to spending, and he plans to express them during tomorrow night’s annual public hearing on the new county budget. He also intends to speak out about the level of spending for a new year of public education across the county. Tomorrow night’s hearing is set for 6 o’clock in council chambers at Walhalla.
