Oconee’s Loftis looks to move up!

A leader in Oconee fire fighting, Scott Loftis, aspires to an office in a statewide organization. Loftis, assistant chief and training officer for the Oconee County Fire Department, has declared his candidacy for 4th Vice President of the South Carolina Firefighters’ Association. Delegates to the association will elect officers during a June conference at Myrtle Beach. In his letter of candidacy, Loftis writes, “I have had the privilege of being a bonafide member of this Association for more than twenty years officially, but also being associated with it during my lifetime as well. Growing up as a third-generation firefighter in South Carolina came with many privileges. Among those privileges was being able to be involved early in life. Memories of this association are woven into the fabric of my life.”
