OC’s auditors render “clean” opinion

February 19, 2014

Oconee County’s new firm of outside auditors has rendered a clean, or un-modified opinion. And Dave Erwin, one of the auditors, says that’s the best that can be expected. He described as a good experience his firm’s collaboration with the county officials in examining and accounting for the financial records of Oconee County for the government year 2012-2013. “For financial statement purposes, the financial statements were fairly presented in all material respects and in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices,” Erwin said during a presentation last night to County Council.
