October’s share of OC Sheriff candidate events

The campaign for Oconee Sheriff is intensifying after this summer’s lull and the cancellation of the Republican primary election. The three remaining candidates are being asked to take part in forums during the month of October, including one to take place seven days before the November 6 election day. Mountain Rest Community Club today announced plans for a one-hour forum and debate to be held 7 o’clock Tuesday night, October 30 at the Walhalla Civic Auditorium. It says that all candidates—Crenshaw, Fricks, and Wilson—have confirmed they will take part. 96.3/WGOG NEWS has learned that the Sheriff candidates are being asked to take part in at least two other October forums, both of them planned at Seneca’s Gignilliat Community Center and sponsored by other organizations.
