Officer down, suspect in custody

Late Saturday afternoon in Seneca, an officer down and a suspect in custody. According to the police, a foot chase that ended in the yard of a home at South Sixth and Stribling succeeded in the capture of a suspect. But a policeman fell and later required an ambulance ride to the hospital. Sgt. Robbie Johnson described his fellow officer as winded from the chase. Arrest records show Courtney Catrease Mayes, 26 years old, was served a pair of Municipal Court bench warrants and further charged with giving false information to law enforcement and refusal to accompany arresting officers.
