“Oh, it’s nice–nice and cool”

In spite of 90-degree temperatures, the water in an in-ground swimming pool in Westminster felt just fine on Saturday—whether you were an adult or a child.  Saturday marked the opening of the city’s municipal swimming pool.  And Mayor Brian Ramey is hopeful that the crowd that took advantage of a free day of swimming and free hot dogs will make regular return visits so that the effort to re-open the pool will have been a success for this season, as well as summers to come.  A combination of city money and efforts by community volunteers is credited with the work that it took to bring new life to the pool off Westminster’s Lucky Street.
