OMC’c CEO to sign land transfers

The board at Oconee Medical Center has given its CEO/chief executive officer, Jeanne Ward, the authority to sign land transfers to two political entities in Oconee County. One transfers nearly 21 and three-quarter acres to Oconee County at the back end of the hospital campus for the purpose of building a YMCA. The property has access to Sheep Farm Road, although Hunter Kome, OMC’s vice president for operations, says there’s a “significant gully” between the property and the new highway. The other land transfer grants city of Seneca less than one acre to allow the city to own the “CAT” stop on the hospital campus and construct a charging station for electric-power buses.
