Once again, a Monday of threats

A second straight Monday of telephoned bomb threats are being investigated by law enforcement in and around Seneca. No explosives were found and no injuries were reported. The Oconee Sheriff’s Department reported threats were received during and after the lunch hour, and investigators responded to gather information. Affected yesterday were Wal-Mart, Oconee Medical Center, BASF Manufacturing and several banks. According to each individual location’s policy, some evacuations took place. Sheriff’s deputies helped to secure the locations. According to an announcement from Capt. Travis Tilson, investigators believe yesterday’s incidents are related to last week’s string of bomb threats.
