One Oconeean has been arrested in a case alleging child neglect. A second person, as of yesterday, was still being sought. The Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest Friday of Anita Crystal Waters. The 31-year old School House Road, Westminster woman was charged with three counts of unlawful neglect of a child and was booked into jail late Friday afternoon. Deputies received information from DSS and warrants were signed. According to investigators, Waters exposed a 14 and 10-year old male and a five-year old female to methamphetamines and both the victims and the defendants tested positive for meth. The Sheriff’s Office reports three outstanding warrants alleging unlawful neglect of a child against Waters’ husband—Jesse Logan Waters. If you have information on the whereabouts of 37-year old Jesse Waters, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 864/638-STOP. You don’t have to give your name. If your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2 thousand.
