One dead, four hurt in Oconee accident

Coroner Karl Addis says a Utica man, Tommy Edward Roach, died at the Oconee Memorial Hospital of  injuries from yesterday’s two-car accident on U-S 123 at Jacobs Road—across from Paws Diner.  Roach was 66 years old.  According to state troopers, the 2013 Chevy Malibu driven by Roach left a private drive and collided with a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by Nexsie Castillo, 34-year old resident of Newry.  Castillo along with three other occupants of the Roach car were hurt and taken to the hospital.  The coroner says Roach died of abdominal and blunt force chest trauma. The accident was reported at 2:10 yesterday afternoon.
