One week from tonight

The Oconee Chamber of Commerce-sponsored “Steak in Oconee” dinner takes place one week from tonight on the grounds of the county’s Golden Corner Commerce Park. At 6:30 Monday night, October 1, the dinner takes place on the eve of the start of the three-day Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair, also on the grounds of the Golden Corner park. Sandra Jones of the chamber of commerce says once again it should be quite a site and quite an evening. Tokeena Angus producers Gwen and Neil McPhail are providing hormone and anti-biotic-free beef grown in Oconee County. The vegetables and fruit are grown by local farms and Clemson’s ag school is providing ice cream. Tickets are $35 and available through the Oconee Chamber of Commerce at 882-2097.
