Opportunity for a high school diploma

In only a few days, a window of opportunity closes on a special opportunity to help South Carolinians in need of a high school diploma.  The provisions of Act 155 qualify former students who missed getting diplomas because they failed one or both portions of the now-abolished South Carolina exit exam.  But Steve Hanvey, Oconee School District administrator, Act 155 applies only through December 31.  For those interested in making application, contact Missy Gibson at the Oconee School District.  She can be reached at 886-4400 extension 6132.  Phone contacts are available only through tomorrow, as the district will start its holiday break Friday morning.  After tomorrow, Act 155 applications can only be made through the district’s website.
