OSD food prices set for a new year!

In the public schools, the proverbial saying of there’s no such thing as a free lunch does not always apply. Ahead of the start of a new school year next month, the Oconee School District has set prices for breakfast and lunch meals. And, for certain students who qualify under household size and income guidelines, free or reduced priced meals are available. A completed application for the 2013-14 year must be returned to your child’s school or the county Food Service office. Applications are available online at www.heartlandapps.com. And questions about the school lunch and breakfast program may be directed to Nancy Ratliff, Food Services, at 864/886-4400 ext. 6178.
