“Overabundance” of crime in Clemson

In Clemson, the police are deploying extra patrol personnel in an attempt to put a stop to break-ins citywide. There is no one specific neighborhood or location where the crimes are occurring, but most are during daylight hours. If you see someone walking or riding around a neighborhood where that person does not belong, Police Chief Jimmy Dixon asks you to be aware. For those going out of town for the holidays, you can call the police station or go to the police web page and register your house for a vacation watch. While away, be sure to have someone pick up your mail and paper deliveries. Another good idea is to place interior and exterior lights on random timers. Dixon said, “It is going to take all of us to catch the individual(s) responsible for this.”
