Large truck leaks fuel on South Carolina 28

An official of Oconee Emergency Services predicts part of busy South Carolina 28–between Bountyland and nearly all the way to Miracle Circle–will remain shut to traffic for a couple of more hours. Highway project delays sewer line

A highway project at Tokeena-Crossroads has delayed Oconee County contractors from laying the last pieces of sewer pipe connecting the Golden Corner Commerce Park with the county’s treatment plant at Seneca. Apparently it’s now official. Paul Cain is the Oconee County councilman-elect from District Three. Joy Brooks, elections director, said this morning that, with no provisional ballots to canvass, Tuesday’s unofficial results stand. Cain’s winning total was 309 votes. Ernest Riley received 269.
