Busy Greenville intersection to be re-configured

A busy Greenville intersection is to undergo a re-configure, courtesy of funding from the state’s Act 98 fund in the South Carolina Transportation Infra-structure Bank. Figures given Oconee County’s ATAX Commission indicate that when it comes to attracting tourists, Westminster’s Mayberry Days is gaining on Walhalla’s Oktoberfest. Seneca Sertomans held their annual awards dinner last night. Lynn Henderson of Blue Ridge Elementary School received the Service to Mankind Award. That award recognized Henderson for her help to the civic club for nominating children for Camp Sertoma. Hank Field was recognized as Sertoman of the Year.

A fire is reported to have been quickly extinguished last night in Westminster, at the corner Brown and Frank streets. The call to a house fire shortly before 7:30 is believed to have been confined to the garage at that residence. No injuries reported.
