A dark night for Walhalla. Homes and businesses served by Duke Energy lost electric power service at 9:30 last night and remained without until 5 this morning. Neighborhoods were affected, so was the Oconee Law Enforcement Center.

Candidate qualifies and is nominated

The state’s Judicial Merit Selection Commission has deemed attorney Scott Sprouse of Walhalla qualified to move into Seat Two, Tenth Circuit Judge, serving Oconee and Anderson counties.
