A U-S Forest Service prescribed burn is planned this morning near Cassidy Bridge Road at Mountain Rest. And plans call for that prescribed burn to begin around 10 o’clock. While the burn is underway, the road to Hell’s Hole Campground will be closed.

Fire department outgrows its building

An Oconee County volunteer fire department has announced plans to expand and renovate its 31-year old station building.
