Second lieutenants to be commissioned

Clemson University’s Army and Air Force ROTC units hold a joint ceremony at 1:30 this afternoon in Tillman Hall Auditorium to commission 30 second lieutenants. Nineteen students will receive commissions into the Army and 11 will receive commissions into the Air Force.

Intersection accident injures one

May 8, 2014

Two cars collided early yesterday afternoon in Seneca, at the intersection of By-Pass 123 and Seneca Drive. The accident slowed traffic in both directions and sent one of the drivers to the hospital. Lt. Robert Tribble said the injured driver would be issued a citation charging failure to yield right-of-way.

Stolen car turns up in Lake Hartwell

A car stolen yesterday morning from the parking lot of Seneca’s Wal-Mart wound up in Lake Hartwell. And sheriff’s officers believe the person who took the car deliberately drove it into the lake.
