Resolution of support for Israel

Senator Lindsey Graham and three other senators are behind a resolution to support Israel as it defends itself against attacks by the terror organization Hamas. The resolution calls the rocket fire at Israel unprovoked and seeks the Palestinian Authority to dissolve the unity governing arrangement with Hamas.

Accident on I-85

Fair Play Fire Department and other responders to I-85 in Oconee County this morning found a car in the median. No injuries reported in the accident which state troopers logged at 5:45 this morning in the northbound section at Exit 2—highway 59.

Preliminary hearing day

July 11, 2014

Twenty-two criminal court defendants face preliminary hearings today at the Oconee County Courthouse, in front of Magistrate Will Derrick. The defendants and their attorneys get the chance to hear and see some of the evidence available to the prosecution. A one-week term of General Sessions Court is planned July 21-25.
