Storm has been a soaker!

The storm that moved from the southeast to the northeast proved to be a soaker for Oconee County. Jobless rates drop locally and statewide

Governor Nikki Haley takes note of what she counts as four straight months of declining jobless rates in South Carolina. The statewide average for November was 7.1%—the closest it has been to the national rate since 2002. The Oconee County unemployment rate for November, 7%, fell one-half of a percentage point from October’s 7.5%.
