New use for Walhalla Middle

New use has been decided for the 40-year old Walhalla Middle School—once that school closes this week in anticipation to moving next door to the current high school campus. Party broken up, citations issued

A late night party inside and outside a home near Seneca broke up Friday night when Oconee sheriff’s officers wrote citations for three people, including the homeowner. Carjacking suspect arrested

Oconee sheriff’s officers last week deployed stop sticks last week in an attempt to capture a carjacking suspect. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the car driver drove over the stop sticks on South Carolina 183/the Walhalla-Westminster Highway and came to a halt within a football field length of the stop sticks. Farmers Market in business today

The Walhalla Farmer’s Market is open today on Main Street at the corner of North Spring and Main Streets.  The hours are Monday mornings 7-10 and Thursday afternoons, 4-7.
