Accident killed Easley man

A Wednesday night accident took the life of a 61-year old Easley man, William Herman Anderson. Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said Anderson died early yesterday morning at a Greenville hospital of blunt force trauma to his torso and thigh. The accident occurred shortly after 9:30 Wednesday night at Woodhaven Drive and South Carolina 93.

Overnight emergencies

For more than two hours last night, fire fighters were on the scene on South Union’s Rock Creek Road. First reports indicated the roof of a structure was on fire. Around 8:30 last night, a semi-truck wound up in a ditch on South Carolina 24 in front of Oakway Wesleyan Church. No one hurt.

Pickens County man convicted

A jury in Pickens County has convicted a Central man of criminal sexual conduct with a minor first degree. Fire damages Oconee tractor

Fire caused heavy damage today to an Oconee County tractor, valued at $65 thousand dollars. The fire broke out at the county landfill near Seneca.
