Greenville manufacturer expands operations

A Greenville maker of silicon carbide products and related composites will expand operations. Advanced Composite Materials today announced a $3 million investment and the creation of six to ten jobs at its location in Greer on the South Buncombe Road. Hiring information will be available in 2014 once capital equipment is installed.

The Army Corps of Engineers announces camping fee changes at campgrounds at both lakes Hartwell and J-Strom Thurmond. Graduation day at Clemson University

It’s graduation day at Clemson University. More than 1,100 students are to receive diplomas in ceremonies at the Littlejohn Coliseum. Yesterday James Barker, the retiring Clemson president, thanked the faculty and staff during what was his last general faculty meeting. About 100 people attended the meeting held at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts.
