96.3/WGOG NEWS has received word of a boat fire this morning at a marina belonging to the Cliffs home development on Lake Keowee.  Having occurred on the Pickens County side of Lake Keowee, the Keowee Vineyard Fire Department responded.

Be careful on South Carolina 107!

State troopers reported accidents this morning on 107–a northern Oconee County state highway.  Two accident occurred there within 45 minutes and both resulted in injuries to some or all of those persons involved.  The first accident occurred at 107 and SC 130.  The second was on 107 at Fish Hatchery Road.

 A 20-year old man near Seneca was identified today by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office as a suspect wanted in a series of crimes on Doyle Drive near the Hopewell Baptist Church. State’s jobless rate steady, Oconee’s inched higher

South Carolina unemployment in May remained unchanged from April. The percentage of South Carolinians out of work last month but actively looking for employment remained 5.3%. Oconee’s jobless rate jumped one-half of a percentage point, from 5.1% to 5.6%.
