On the deadline eve, two Seneca filers

Two men have signed up as candidates for the Seneca City Council election—with less than a day of qualifying still open. The candidacies today by Stuart Pohl and Robert Holbrooks make it a six-candidate field, so far, for four seats. All four incumbents—Scott Durham, Ernest Riley, Joel Ward and Andrea Alewine—are running again.

Senate changes in guns-in-bars and restaurants

The South Carolina Senate today approved House changes in the bill that would allow people with concealed weapon permits to take firearms into bars and restaurants.
