SHS students make All-State Chorus

 Seneca High School is sending 31 students to this year’s All-State Chorus. Of 84 schools, Seneca contributed the fourth largest number. Students chosen will sing in March at Winthrop University, under the direction of world-renowned conductors.

Haley calls it a significant drop

Governor Nikki Haley calls the statewide un-employment decrease significant—a drop from 7.9% in September to 7.5% in October. State officials say this is the lowest rate in South Carolina since 2008 and the closest to the national since 2002. Oconee County’s jobless rolls also show a corresponding decrease.
