Motorcyle mishap at Keowee Key

Wet roads in Keowee Key this morning apparently contributed to a motorcycle accident. On Port Track Drive, a motorcyclist lost control and he and the bike wound up in a ditch. His injuries—cuts and scapes—could have been a lot worse, in the estimation of Chief Richie Caudill of the Keowee Fire Department.

Janice and retired Oconee Sheriff James Singleton have been displaced from their home near Seneca by a fire early last night that apparently had its origins with a yard bush set afire with gasoline to exterminate bees.
