Home fire near Westminster

A late night fire near Westminster kept fire fighters from several stations at the scene for more than three hours. No one reported hurt in the mobile home on Long Creek Highway, near the Welcome Church Road. Oconee Fire Control sounded the first alarm shortly before midnight.

SHS students nominated for award

Ten students at Seneca High School have been nominated by the faculty for the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award. The students were nominated for dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism, and all wrote an essay to be judged by a committee from the Wizard of Tamassee Chapter of National Society DAR in Seneca.…

Two spring time fishing tourneys
