Emergency crews responded today to the Wild and Scenic Chattooga upon a hiker’s discovery of a kayak–wedged between rocks at Bull’s Sluice. 31 targeted for drug conspiracy

Oconee sheriff’s officers are pursuing conspiracy-related drug charges today against as many as 31 suspects. And, by 1:30 this afternoon, 22 of the 31 had already been arrested and sent to jail. At 2 o’clock this afternoon, an electric bus is scheduled to test the new charge station at Seneca’s Norton-Thompson Park and then run a practice route. Riley Johnson, events coordinator, said it’s a test only–and no public ridership will be permitted on the test bus today.
