Charges pile up against burglary suspect

Stolen guns and jewelry have been recovered by sheriff’s officers in their investigation of burglaries this summer in three rural Oconee County communities. And a 31-year old man has been sent to jail. The Oconee Sheriff’s Office has announced 14 charges against Jonathan Allen Finney of Maple Circle, Tamassee. Finney was arrested August 28. The…

Jury returns guilty verdict

A 31-year old Seneca woman told the judge that the jury got it wrong. Shawn Ashley Barrett spoke after being found guilty yesterday in the Oconee General Sessions Court of driving under the influence.
