So far, evidence shows no foul play

Shortly after Walhalla Fire Department released from the Presbyterian Church fire scene, Chief Doug Kelley said there’s no evidence of any foul play associated with Saturday’s fire that destroyed the church roof and caused heavy damage to the sanctuary below. Busy weekend for emergency calls

Two persons hurt in a rollover car accident last night near Westminster. Oconee County Dispatch reports the accident involved a car that rolled into a ditch at 8:30 on the N. Horseshoe Bridge Road. Sunday service will take place

In spite of today’s fire, Walhalla Presbyterian Church will hold Sunday morning service. The service will take place across the street at 11 a-m tomorrow in the sanctuary of St. Luke United Methodist Church, according to Walhalla Presbyterian member Deb Wickliffe.
