The landing and take-off of a medical helicopter created noon hour crowd of onlookers today in downtown Walhalla. As it was described to 96.3/WGOG NEWS, the medical helicopter used the grass-covered lot at Main and N. Katherine as the place to pick up and transport its patient.

Greenwood woman killed in Liberty accident

A 29-year old Greenwood woman perished in a late night car accident in the Pickens County town of Liberty. Kandy Kelley, the Pickens County coroner, reports the death of Maranda Nicole Bice.
