Death investigated as a drowning

The apparent drowning of a York woman in Pickens County is under investigation. Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley reports an autopsy will take place on the body of Heather Dobbins. She was tubing in a group of four people Saturday in the Saluda River.

Man jailed allegedly punched deputy

A man near Walhalla went to jail today after he allegedly swung at a deputy sheriff and connected with his fist to the face of the officer.
