Seneca’s share of the load increases

Westminster lost electric power

A fallen tree is blamed for an electric power outage that affected large parts of Westminster Sunday afternoon. The outage lasted from 2:30 to 5 o’clock, according to Clerk-Treasurer Jennifer Adams.

Georgia authorities have identified the three people killed Friday night in the crash of their car and a passenger train in Stephens County. Drain pipe fails along lake road

A storm water drain pipe failed about one-half mile from Devil’s Fork State Park. The Oconee Roads and Bridges Department this morning temporarily closes the road to through traffic to make repairs. Stolen Greenvlle car turns up in Townville

A stolen SUV in Greenville turned up over the weekend in Townville, and two men have been arrested. Oconee Sheriff’s Department and LEC reports show Jason Todd Lesley, 35-year old Liberty resident, and Garrick Houston Fuller, 34-year old Townville resident, were arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
