Oconee County Sheriff’s department is asking the public for assistance in locating a missing Oconee Teenager.  Katherine Lidley, 16,  was reported missing on February 27 around 6 am from her foster home in Westminster. Oconee Drug Arrests Nabs 2 Georgia Men

An arrest last Wednesday afternoon has landed two Georgia men in the Oconee Detention Center.  Deputies arrested 25 year-old Javier Francisco Farfan  and 22 year-old Jaime Flores , both of Lawrenceville, Georgia last Wednesday.  The two men are charged with trafficking methamphetamine.      The drug charges against Farfan and Flores were the result of an earlier investigation…

Violent Crime Down in SC

Violent Crime in South Carolina is on the decrease.  That’s according to a report released today by  the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.  SLED Chief Mark Keel says the rate of violent crime decreased 2.2 percent in 2011 compared to 2010.  Keel says while the rate has decreased overall, some categories of violent crime have increased.  Murders…
