Seneca Fire Claims Couple

Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that claimed two lives in Seneca.  Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis says 73 year old Edgar Blake Smith and his wife, 73 year old Patsy Hughes Smith died in an early morning house fire.  The Coroner says a 911 call was received around 2:30 this morning reporting a house fire…

Unemployment Drops in SC

South Carolina’s unemployment rate is down this month, by ½ point.  Since September, South Carolina’s number of unemployed dropped by more than 10,500.  According to Palmetto Workforce Connections, South Carolina’s current unemployment rate is 9.1 percent.  The Bureau of Labor Statistics says Forty-one states and the District of Columbia recorded unemployment rate decreases, six states…

Water Interruption Monday
