A bus carrying 15 students turned over off the road in an after-school accident near Walhalla. Authorities say two students suffered apparent minor injuries on Pond Road near Poor Farm Lake. Oconee School Bus Overturns

An Oconee County School District bus overturned Monday afternoon near Walhalla.  School District officials say the bus was carrying students from West-Oak High School and West-Oak Middle School.  Two students were injured, according to authorities.  The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident and no further details are available at this time.

An earthquake, centered on the Pickens County side of Lake Keowee, was “barely detectable,” according to Scott Krein, director of Oconee Emergency Services. The quake was felt at 5 a-m Saturday, Krein said, eight miles east-north-east of Salem.
