Office construction at Oconee Nuclear

Hammer and nail work will be ongoing the next two years at the Oconee Nuclear Station. A spokeswoman for Duke Energy says two new office buildings are planned to relieve office-overcrowding. One of the buildings will rise five stories and one is to replace modular office units.

Traffic fatality in Fair Play

State troopers report one fatality in a traffic crash this morning at Fair Play. The accident was reported shortly after 9:30 at W. Fairplay Road and Dean’s Drive. No other details immediately available.
